Life Snatched Away

16 July 2009 was a very black day for Malaysians.

Teoh Beng Hock (30), a political aide of Ean-Yong Hian Wah of Seri Kembangan constituency was robbed of his life at MACC's office (Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission). He was hauled up for questioning for the purchase of Malaysian flags for Merdeka amounting to RM2,430.00 at 5pm on 15 July and found dead on the five floor by a janitor a day later.

MACC claimed that he was released at 3.45am and was founding sleeping on the settee after the release. If he was released, why didn't he leave MACC's office for his impending marriage to Soh Chei Wei (28), a school teacher who hailed from Batu Pahat the next day! Did he had to return for another interrogation after that short break? "We need a private investigate like "monk" an entertaining TV serie.
He was seen by Tan Li Liang, a councillor for Klang at the pantry around 6am and they just merely acknowledged each other and Tan only knew later that day that Teoh had fallen to his death from the 14th floor. MACC won't accept responsibility for his safety because according to MACC Teoh was already released at 3.45am!

Tan was also interrogated by MACC the same day and he was threatened by the interrogaters that his wife will be taken away from him and there will be no one to look after their children but this threat did not deter him from speaking the truth. This is fortitude Tan possess! Courage to stand by the truth even in an extreme threatening situtation. We need more people like Tan. Long live Tan.
